These solid brass engraving plates are designed to be laser engraved showing a brilliant gold color engraving. These are made from high quality material designed for engraving and will have a finish that uniform, smooth, and blemish-free. All of our engraving plates are guaranteed to be manufactured as the ‘best available’ in the industry and you will receive the highest quality that is proudly made in the USA.

Material thickness; black on brass plated steel is .38mm / .015"
Engraving Depth 0.025mm / .001"
Black on brass plated steel plates will display engraved letters in a gold/brass color.
These engraving blanks are designed to be used with a laser engraver only. These laser engraving plates are not intended to be used for rotary and mechanical type engraving methods
MAGNETIC Steel will attract to magnet this "ferrous metal" will be strongly attracted to magnets
The engraving plaques come with a clear thin plastic coating to protect the engraving side of the plate and should be removed before engraving
If you order customized holes punched into the plates, the actual size will be 3mm / 0.12" in diameter and is placed approximately 3mm from the edge of the plate (Screws are sold separately)

These versatile plates are great for Trophies, Machine tags, door numbers, awards, medals, lockers, mail & room numbers, bin tags also works with Glowforge and other CO2 lasers

Our best selling engraving plates are Brass and Aluminum (Brushed are a bit more popular than and Bright) that are used on trophy's, plaques, awards, memorials, desk nameplates, and other engraving work. If you choose brushed brass or brushed aluminum, you will be using the most popular engraving plates. For coated engraving plates, our black aluminum and laser black aluminum (if your using a laser engraver) are the top choices for customers.

The various aluminum colors can be used to match a background or picture and the anodized aluminum is designed for accessories or outdoor use. Both the colored aluminum and anodized aluminum are designed for scratch or rotary engraving.

Choose by exposure
Solid metal brass and aluminum will maintain their color but painted or coated plates can wear off from physical wear and abrasion or when the plates are significantly bent, heated, or exposed to chemicals. The anodized metals are designed to withstand weather and wear and will maintain their surface even with outdoor exposure, sunlight, and moisture.

Looking to use them for another purpose?
The solid metal engraving plates can be heated, bent, or soldered (coated plates should NOT). Brass and aluminum without colors can be bent and modified (there can be some surface discoloring applying a torch and you may need to protect the metal when heating or possibly polish it after) because of surface treatments, you should do some testing before starting important projects.

Didn't get to use.

I didn't get to use the plates because shipping took 10 days and it was too late for my order. I called hoping I would get some kind of help with an expedited order or shipping refund but they said no. Maybe it was not their fault but they did have the opportunity to make it right and chose not to.

I have purchased these is various sizes several times and I will continue as long as they are available. I use with my diode laser and make plaques of all sizes. I used on my 5.5w, 10w and 20w lasers. The best quality at the best prices.
